Rick Owens Leather Bomber Jacket

The flight or bomber jacket was first created for pilots, before the design became a mainstay in any fashionable girl's wardrobe. In the First & Second World Wars, the majority of airplanes did not have a closed-in cockpit--in fact pilots might be flying at upwards of 10,000 feet with air temperatures of negative 50 degrees celcius (BRRRRR!) so a jacket was created to keep the, well, bombers warm. Today, Rick Owens has updated this classic style of jacket with bone colored leather and a cropped cut so that us girls can enjoy the look without resorting to violent measures. We do salute those of you with pilot's licenses and if any of you might be on your way to aruba . . . let us know. In mint condition and avilable for $850.
