Chanel Fall 2000 Calfskin Vest

While we consider oursleves feminists, and usually would never salute a film whose title inferred the type of guy totally supported by his girlfriend (I mean, we stopped dating musicians years ago for just this reason), we luuuuurve Peter Fonda in this movie and would gladly throw this Chanel antiqued calfskin leather vest on to hop on the back of his bike. From Chanel's Fall 2000 collection, in mint condition, in a size 38 and priced at $600. For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo.com

Chanel Cruise 2003 Blazer with Grosgrain & Ruffle Trim

If you haven't yet seen the MURAKAMI exhibit at the MOCA--run, don't walk, Mary--you only have until February 8th, 2008! The awesome Japanese wunderkind's artwork is phenomenal, to say the least. We've seen it (twice) and just can't get enough of Marukami's saturated flat color planes and graphic anime characters. We've allowed the exhibit to influence our style choices and we hope you will as well. In order to help you facilitate the process, we've chosen a piece that we thinks embodies the MURAKAMI spirit. Voila--a Chanel boucle blazer with hot pink grosgrain ribbon trim and sheer ruffle detailing that gives the classic blazer a harujuku girl update. Vive La Superflat! In a size 42 and prices at $1000. In mint condition! For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo

Chanel Fall 1999 Boucle Cropped Blazer

Generally, the end of the fourteenth century is seen as the birthdate of fashion, or when clothing represented more than class or professional position. Rather clothing was designed, in order to reflect personal preferences and in doing so, brought style as an influence to life's choices. N one understood this balance of influence and decision more than Chanel. We can still see her form and function marriage, for example, in this cropped blazer with dolman sleeves, hook-and-eye metal front closures with logo stamp and boucle with metallic threading. Women were for the first time, able to dress not just by social status as their determining wardrobe factor, but were able to select garments based on their style and a certain comfort level meant for all people. Vive La Revolution! In mint condition and priced at $600. In a size 40. For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo.com

Chanel Cruise 1999 Deco Boucle Blazer

Forget Lauren, Whitney, Audrina & Heidi . . . the real fashion plate on the Hills is Lisa Love in our opinion (Paris is our favorite city too). If we going to dress her in a French fashion piece, we would choose this gorgeous Chanel lightweight boucle blazer with delicate deco detailing and silver hammerred CC button closures. It matches the effortlessly chic and poised style both Love, and dare we say, Coco herself, are known for. From the Cruise 1999 collection. Priced at $600 and in mint condition! For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo.com

Chanel Fall 2004 Black & White Blazer with Camellia

It was CoCo Chanel who first dictated that clothing could be worn from day to night and that certain pieces were not limited by time of day. This is certainly true for this superchic blazer fabricated with black and white boucle that goes directly from a day in the office to a night on the town. Certain details such as the lace peekaboo trim or the black velvet collar and detachable camellia pin help accent the pieces versatility. In mint condition and available for $1600. CHANEL Spring 2002 Beaded Halter Top

Made by Chanel, this black silk tank is adorned with pink, fuschia and white pearls and features two mini hook and clousres at the rear neck and an open back with interior tie at the back--VA VA VA VOOM! Chanel Spring 2003 Cream Boucle Jacket with Sequins

Ah, mademoiselle Chanel, the lady made famous for tailoring men's fashions to suit both her whimsical and practical needs. In fact the contributions to women's fashions for which she is still most associated with today, her soft-bleted coats, tweeds and blazers, sailor sweaters and cuff linked shirts, were all inspired by the Duke of Westminster's wardrobe. We love a borrowed-from-the-boys look and find the perfect mix of masculine/feminine in this Spring 2003 blazer. Slightly boxy, it has a longer huntsman cut and design but is accented with miniature sequin details. Ah, Chanel. They always get it right. In a size 40 and in mint condition. For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo.com

Chanel Spring 1999 Rainbow Tweed Boucle Blazer

Ah, our old pal: ROY G BIV, taking me back to Mrs. Niles 8th grade science class. Visable when water droplets are in the air and the sun is shining behind you at a low altitude, Mr. Biv is a seven colored quatised arc aka the rainbow. And, to be frank, there's something just something about this rainbow tweed boucle blazer from Chanel's 1999 Spring collection that just makes us feel like kicking up our heels, and singing down the yellow brick road like a handholding friend of Dorothy! In a size 44 and priced at $800. In next-to-new condition. For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo.com

Chanel Champagne Boucle Spring 2003 Blazer

"A woman should wear fragrance wherever she expects to be kissed." -CoCo Chanel

At the beginning of the 20th century, CoCo chanel comissioned Enrest Beaux to create 6 samples of perfume for her. Bottle No. 5 was the one she liked best--perhaps due to the fact that a fortune teller had once told CoCo that her lucky number was the number 5--and in keeping with her auspicious numerical forecast, she introduced the fragrance to some of her friends on 5/5/1921. Originally, the perfume was given away free to favored clients and the dressing rooms at Chanel were scented with No. 5. In 1924, Chanel partnered with Pierre Wertheimer and the fragrance was sold internationally.

Sales of the scent increased exponentially when in 1953 Marilyn Monroe was asked what she wore to bed. Monroe's infamous answer: "Two drops of Chanel No. 5" So dab on a little No. 5, wherever you expect to be kissed, throw this chic champagne boucle blazer from the Spring 2003 collection over a silk cami and create that Chanel je ne sais quoi mystique--in Coco herself's words, "something abstact and unique". In a size 36 and priced at $1300. For further information or to purchase, please contact: thegang@decadestwo.com
