Now that the leaves of Fall have gently turned from green to gold, a winter wonderland has descended upon us. And you know what that means--for D2 girls, Santa comes early, bringing a big bag filled to the brim with Chanel, Chanel and more Chanel. That's right ladies: it's our annual Chanel celebration. We're talking boucle up the wazoo, 2.55's as far the eye can see, and costume jewelry that'll transport you from 8214 Melrose to 30 Rue de Cambon (ok, we may have gone a bit far on that last one. We can't guarantee these items will actually break the laws of physics. But they'll come close!)

The Chanel bonanza will be held on Wednesday, December 9th @ D2, located at 8214 Melrose. And we'll be extending our store hours for the event from 10-7. BUT FOR A LUCKY FEW: there will be an opportunity to preshop the sale. We are reserving 50 spots for clients during the day on Tuesday December 8th from 10 am-5pm.

To guarantee your first look position, we ask that you contribute $50 at the store entry to one of our favorite charities –Beyond Shelter.  Beyond Shelter (  is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 in response to increasing numbers of homeless families in Los Angeles and the need for a more comprehensive approach to serving them.

Decadestwo will match your $50 contribution to the charity.  We will send you further details once you reserve your place. Please contact to do so.

I loved "Where the Wild Things Are"--especially Lance Acord's gorgy gorg cinematography as well the bee-yoo-ti-ful landscape. The color palette of sandy neutrals was just a sight to behold. That's why I grabbed this amazing Ralph Chado gathered silk jacket. The complicated construction of swirled silk takes my breath away and looks like some kinda alien life-form in and of itself. For the wild thing in all of us!
*Ralph Chado swirled silk jacket. In a size 8. Priced at $2020.

OK--Thanksgiving is three days away and you ladies know what that means. In addition to drinking broth three times a day so that you can go hog wild come Turkey Day (I'm talking thirds on the mashed potatoes), it also means that party season is upon us. For those of you with significant others, you may find that your holiday obligations double. How ever is a girl to dress for all the reveling? One thing to do is to take your fave LBD and re-accessorize. We suggest a short little cocktail number paired with these fauxhawk heels. Shazaam! Crisis averted!
*Prada studded, beaded and fringe fauxhawk heels. From the Fall 2009 collection. Priced at $1270. For further information or to purchase, please contact:

The Washington Post that is! Read all about it. Decadestwo is serious news baby! So much that Christos was interviewed for a piece that ran in the Washinton Post. The article focuses on Holiday glam and Christos waxes poetic on what to expect this Xmas. It's such a chic piece--we just had to tell you about. But don't just take our word for it. See for yourselves:

There's something about these furs that I absolutely love. They're the epitome of Coney Island chic. Not that you'd wear these puppies to sit at Cyclones Game (Go Cyclones!) but more along the lines of Drea de Matteo leaves the red carpet and rides on her boyfriend's bike out to Coney Island because she has to have a hot dog and some Nathan's fries. I mean, a short sheared fur on the boardwalk--gimme a break, Nell Carter. That is some fashions right there.
*Miu Miu tan goatskin fur coat. Made in Italy. Priced at $1770.
**32Paradis espresso fur coat. Made in France. Priced at $2000.

OMG! I just love a little bling! Around the neck, on the finger, heck I'd put some diamanté rims on my Volvo station wagon given half the chance. So, when I saw the razzle-dazzle gem belt by Chanel. I knew I just had to post about it. Of course, what is there to discuss. It's a friggin' super shiny gem belt by Chanel for goodness sakes'. It needs no introduction. I'd wear it to Trader Joe's, to the bank, to a gala, to drinks, on a lap in my own apartment. I mean, it's Chanel. It goes with everything. Discussion over. I'll take two.
*Chanel gem belt. New with tags. Priced at $270.

Merci Buckets Racked! We're so glad you had such a great time mixing and matching at our D2 pop-up shop!

Hello Chanel-O! Ok, I know. It takes a certain kind of girl to wear this Chanel jacket. But, it must be said, that this is the kind of jacket that when sported by the right girl, with the right accessories, in the right way--concretizes her fashion cred. In fact, it's the kind of jacket that gets wistful looks that come accompanied by whispers of, "I wish I could pull that off . . ." Of course, we know that all of our clients are "it girls". So, we had to post this baby for all of you. Bon appettit!
*Chanel floral jacket with sequins. Priced at $1500.

I heart Kieselstein Cord. For one thing, I am passionate about preppy this fall. Two, the K Cord line of accessories rocks a V V V specific kind of luxury tchotcke chic--in the realm of Judith Leiber. Third, the iconic line sports super retro shapes and styles, reminiscent of Palm Beach. However, if it was me, I'd rock this with something short and some sky-high heels. Like, the black sheep of the fam hit up Cape Cod and it was a mushroom cloud of an explosion.
*Kieselstein Cord handbag with golden metal alligators. Priced at $750.

I am on fan of the crimp. When I was 7, I begged my mother for a crimping rion and finally after weeks of screaming, xcrying and moping, she relented. I can't tell you the number of hours spent zig-zagging my side pony tail and then admiring my handiwork, while sporting my grey and red "B" Benneton sweater--all the rage in my 1980's prep school.
So, when I saw this "crimped" sheared nude fur, I freaked. I mean, its architectural madness at its finest. In fact, its fostering some design insprations. I've simply got get my hands on another crimping iron. I wonder if I could crimp my sweaters . . .
*FERAUD "crimped" shear fur. In a size 6. Priced at $2500.

Sometimes, it's not what you lead with, but what you leave with. We all want to make a grad entrance. But truth be told, an elegant exit is worth its weight in gold. That's why I've chosen this Jil Sander pastel ombré sequined cocktail dress for this Tuesday's post. It's heavenly for the holiday season and has the special bit of sass in the back. Perfect for that time when you're caught kissing in the copy room at the company Christmas party or you have to throw a platter of stuffing on the floor on your inlaws and storm out of the room. they'll never know what hit 'em.
Jil Sander sequin dress. In a size 4/6. Priced at $600.

Growing up, every girl hears tales of Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. And even those those little girls may live to rock some goth garb in the vein of Rick Owens or Gareth Pugh, somewhere, every gal casts herself in her version of a fairy tale as the princess. Even if the princess is more Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice than Robin Wright Penn in The Princess Bride.
Either way, we've come up with a princess look that pretty much on the sparkle mark for any girl. Pink and pleated up top and multi-layres of black below. Come to think of it--this baby would also work for any girl who imagines herself as the princess of the 80s airwaves, Alexis Carrington.
*Oscar De La Renta ballgown skirt and top. Priced at $1900. In a size 6.

One of the best things about winter is that you get to sport fabrics fashioned in unusual ways. generally, leather is used for accessories, for bags or shoes or the occasional coat. If it shows up on a dress, usually, it plays a minor role, trim or a button or a belt. But come winter, leather is the perfect fabric to stand alone in all its sleek chic glory. Like for example, in this gorgy Gucci little number in a flat shiny skin. I mean, this is simplicity at its true finest.
*Gucci brown leather minimal dress. in a size 46. Priced at $1200.

Picture it: you're walking down a deserted Soho Street, arm-in-arm with I dunno Johnny Depp or Clive Owen . . . or . . . Clooney. Yeah, Clooney. Anyway, the two of you are walking down the street, arm-in-arm, as the first snowflake falls on your Sears down parka.
No, nooooooooooooo. Let's reframe . . . as the first snowflake falls on your Chanel cashmere coat. Or as the first snowflake falls on your Dolce & Gabbana shearling. Or as the first snowflake falls on your Collection Priveé shearling for that matter.
Much better.
*Chanel Fall 2000 cashmere coat. Priced at $2220.
**Dolce & Gabbana Metallic Shearling coat. New with tags and retailed for $12,000. Priced at $7800.
***Collection Priveé tan shearling coat. Priced at $1700.

J'adore the St. Tropez bag. It's the perfect bag to carry with an I'm french and wear a bell-bottom-jean, a-military-shirt, a-red-lip, -a-vintage-schwinn-and-a-bang hairstyle look. It has the uber cool left bank bohemian blended with upper crust chic. I can imagine a modern day Charlotte Rampling or Jane Birkin wearing it (complete with see through dress of course.) Ok, ok I know that both of those ladies are actually English. But they speak french, work in french cinema, make french albums and marry french superstars. Mon dieu.
** Yves Saint Laurent pink suede St. Tropez handbag. Priced at $530.
YSL white leather handbag with horn handle. Priced at $630
