Deviant behavior at Prada . . . we just love it. Miuccia's Spring 2008 collection marked a departure from Prada's signature 50s garden party chic and turned a dark dark corner. We adore a drak corner. Especially with a cocktail.

For this collection, Miuccia turned away from usual housefrau muse and turner to some half goth/half flapper/half seventies rock & roll runaway who doodles fairies and pixie dust all over her stolen guitar case.

You know, the girl who wore pajamas all day long and smoked cigarettes on line at the bank with her shoulders wrapped in a hand-made crocheted afgan. The girl who recieved handwritten love letters from Nick Drake that smelled of vetiver or gasoline.

TREND: FROSTY FLORALS

Well, after the Spring Collections, which were blooming with petalled prints and accoutrements, designers were not ready to relinquish the blossoming trend for Fall. Several designers continued to fabricate florals but updated the trend for colder winter months with gothic color pallettes and dark details.

Tuck into a winter wonderland this Fall with Prada's floral dress. Crafted in a light blue silk, this dazzling dress features blood red roses, victorian draping and detailing, black tie at the waist and pleated bust. Ok, Miuccia Prada could take over the world if she wanted to. For real. The lady has a PhD in Political Science, mmmmmmmkay? So, in 2008 my vote's for Miuccia. Her slogan can be "Gotta Prada--Saving The World to Dress It!". Especially in this piece of gorgeousness. From the Prada White Label collection, this jazzy jacket is completely studded with golden metal grommets, accented at the edging with metal studs and grosgrain ribbon detail and features a wrap belt at the waist with black leather whip-stitching details. Prada White Label Trench Coat

Every gal needs a dash of mystery to her. It adds that certain je ne sais quoi, ups her allure quotient, says "Hey, this girl walks the line. She's dangerous and there ain't nothing nobody can do about it." The trench coat is the consummate clothing item that gives a girl an unpredicatable edge. This Prada White Label double-breasted trench coat is guaranteed to keep 'em guessing. Comprised of a classic tan light-weight nylon, this terrific trench is belted at the waist and just screams sex-appeal. We don't recommend wearing this chic coat in the rain or snow as the nylon has not been weatherproofed. We do however, recommend wearing it in all other places and spaces.
