We adore overalls. First seen in the late 18th century, overalls were originally protective garb meant to cover proper pants and trousers--i.e. to go over-all (nudge nudge). through the centuries overalls have maintained their utilitarian design, often employed for manual labor and in the armed services. during WWII, it was Rosie the Riveter who really rocked her overalls, blending sex appeal with a tough inner mechanic.
