Louis Vuitton Platform Pompei Heels

Ah . . . the platform shoe. From it's humble beginnings in ancient grecian theatre, when they were used to denote important characters on stage, to its racy adolescence in the 16th to 18th century's when high born European courtesan's relied upon the platform to avoid gunk in the gutters, to its young adulthood in the 1970's, when they were a staple of any righteous gal's clothing collection. We still love 'em in the 21st century. Especially when they are made by Louis Vuitton in a rust colored satin with dark golden metal trim and orange laquered wedge. In a size 37.5 and orignally retailed for approximately $845 US. Available at d2 for $395-worn very gently once. SOLD
