To be honest with you, there is no reason that this dress should work. It's a mish-mosh of patterns and designs and influences. I'm not quite sure who decided that the muted orange fleur-de-lis fabric would go with a touch of bright black, white and pink 60s mod printed trim. Or for that matter, why grecian draping would be sympatic with pleating. I guess this dress just flies in the face of reason. It works. On every level. It's not totally surprising though. Those folks over at Prada know what they're doing.
Prada printed and draped dress. In a size 40. Priced at $850.

Ok, ok, so it might be a bit early to post fur coats. But when you spy an Alaia cropped shearling with multi-color fringe and leather whip-stitch detailing, you don't let a little thing like seasonality affect your sartorial selections. Personally, I'd pair this jacket with an itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny bikini, a pair of suacy stilettos and top the look off with darker-than-dark shades. If you ask me, it's pool party heaven.
*Alaia cropped shearling coat. In a size 38. Originally retailed for approximately $4905. Priced at $1350.

These are the lovely ladies who (patiently) stood outside and braved the environment (ok, it's L.A. in mid-july) to gain entry into our annual shoe sale. Some sale-goers camped out on the sidewalk for more than four hours to get their mitts on Manolos as well as Christian Louboutins, Jimmy Choo's and Roger Viviers. Of course, considering that each pair of shoes was priced at $150 smackers, we can hardly blame them. For those of you who weren't able to attend the shoe soireƩ, don't worry. Racked LA penned post-sale coverage! Click HERE to read all about it!

Have you ever heard the saying, "If you buy a diamond ring for ten cents, then your ring probably ain't worth a dime?"

Well, as far as "discounted" goods are concerned, the deals are usually to be true. We all know that a Canal Street Special is about as legit as say, a three dollar bill, but what about that "Chanel"2.55 on ebay? Or that "Louboutin" D'Orsay Pump on an interweb dress-for-less site?

Luckily, Decadestwo co-owner Christos Garkinos, along with Decades owner Cameron Silver, is slated to appear on 20/20 tomorrow night to break down style scams. Just how can you spot a fake? Tune in tomorrow at 10 pm EST on ABC to find out!

Of course, if you're kicking it in Weho this weekend and looking for a real steal, be sure to stop by our annual shoe sale, this Saturday from 9am - 6pm. Our racks are packed with Christian Louboutins, Manolo Blahniks, Jimmy Choo's and Roger Viviers and many more--all priced at $150 per pair. Now that's a REAL deal!

So, as most of you know, I love a huge, ginormous, totally unreasonably large tote bag. I'm talking weigh-your-shoulder-down big. They come in handy come summer--as you never know when you may need to drop everything you're doing and head straight to the beach. This tote is large enough to tuck a towel, bikini, book and bottle of water PLUS shades, wallet, and sunblock. Besides, there's something very devil-may-care about slinging snakeskin around your shoulder and heading off to kick it surfside.
*Coach Snakeskin Tote. Priced at $650.

Maybe this post is halfway inspired by Gucci's infalible 70s motifs, or maybe its just because I've been listening to Gypsy, Tramps and Thieves on repeat for weeks now. But I'm ready to throw a little gypsy inspired flair into the mix. I'm talking coins, and fringe and madcap embroidery. So, I guess that's why I picked that Gucci top to post about. I just can see Cher wearing it and running down the beach! Mai tais anyone?
*Gucci gypsy top. Priced at $400.

Ok, so I missed the south swell over July 4th, but there's no way I'm missing my chance on this Bottega Veneta tote with dreadlock rasta leather trim. This baby is perfect for the beach and for Jimmy Cliff's comeback tour. Loves it.
*Bottega Veneta reggae bag. Priced at $550.

Ok, if you've been following our blog--then you know of our love of all things Missoni, bright Santa Fe style color palettes, and the seventies as design inspiration. So, imagine our surprise and delight when we spotted these Missoni pants. It may look as though they should be relegated to the rolling rink--but stay with us for a sec. I'd pair these babies with a black gladiator sandal, a sheer white tee, a slouchy bag and golden bracelets worn just below the elbow. Retro chic that somehow stays contemporary. Loves it!
*Missoni squiggle knit pants. Priced at $270.

This dress just screams SATC season 1 to us! And actually, we can see it also hanging on the costume racks for season two. You remember--that's when the lovely lady Bradshaw seemed to be the worlds biggest proponent of the sexy slipdress. During the first few years of SATC, Carrie could be counted on to rock a brash printed slipdress paired with a skyscraper stiletto and big, big hair. Well, that was ten years ago and you know what? We're bringing 'em back! The printed slipdress (as well as the high high high heel AND the hair!) We say "Adios!" to minimalism! "Vaya con Dios!" to modesty! "Ciao!" to ladylike! So, throw on this Jean Paul Gaultier number, grab that Manolo box down from the top shelf and let your down, Mama! The summer, we're keeping it sexy!
*Jean Paul Gaultier printed dress with side lace-up and asymmetrical hem. Priced at $650.

Cobalt has been in Vogue forevvvver. I'm talking since the Bronze Age (that's 14th centruy BC)! and it's no wonder. The color is deep and rich and majestic. I guess that's why some many monarchy's have called upon the color to signify royalty. While we're not advocating any political system, we're here to cheer for cobalt. It's one of our most favorite colors. Shown here in a cobalt boucle a la Thakoon, we're sure that its going to get some heavy rotation in your color wheel too!
*Thakoon cobalt boucle vest with mesh hoodie. In a size 8. Originally retailed for $2600 and priced at $1500.

How sweet indeed! Like sugar and spice and everything nice . . . that's what Dolce & Gabbana are made of! Reknowned for their sexy-meets-sophisticated creations, this Italian duo have made it their business to send the chicest clothing down the runway. Literally. And we couldn't be happier about it. Take for example, this corset. The clear vinyl and patent leather come straight outta the Red Light district but the golden metal buckles make this baby luxe instead of lurid. Loves it!
*Dolce & Gabbana corset. In a size 44. Priced at $390.

Call me crazy. I know it's practically July and most of you are thinking about fans not furs. But this jacket is soooooo impossibly chic, I just couldn't resist. Besides, it never hurts to look ahead. Crafted by Lanvin, this baby is accented with gem detailed hook-and-eye front closures. It reminds me of something that comes straight out of a Victorian novel. You know what I mean. The ones where the privileged spend all their time getting in and out of horse drawn carriages and moping about the countryside--too restrained to speak their true feelings.
But I digress.
*Lanvin Fur Coat. Priced at $1550.
